Mandy Isaacson – Décor & Event Manager at FoxFire, Geneva
Almost 13 years ago, I walked through the doors of FoxFire in Geneva, IL, as an energetic server, eager to make guests feel at home. Little did I know that my first shift would mark the beginning of an incredible journey. I never imagined that one day I would be helping to redesign a restaurant and venue, as well as managing some of the most beautiful weddings and large events in the area. From centerpieces to wedding arches, I have had the privilege of designing décor that transforms spaces into unforgettable experiences.
FoxFire has become much more than just a workplace; it is a second home. The Gulbro family, and K.C. in particular, are not just my bosses; they are my friends and truly feel like family to me. This close-knit connection makes every event I plan even more special. I take pride in working for people who care deeply about what they do, and I hope that pride shines through in every detail I create.
Outside of work, my greatest joy is my family. I am blessed with an amazing husband who is my biggest cheerleader and partner in everything I do. Together, we are raising four incredible kids who fill our lives with laughter, adventure, and love. When I'm not planning events, I enjoy creating magic with my hands, whether it's crafting, building, or tackling DIY projects that make Pinterest jealous. When Halloween comes around, watch out! I built my very own haunted trail around our house for five years. This included over 20 actors, lights, smoke machines, music, monsters, and a maze, entertaining more than 700 fans in just one night. For me, creativity isn't just my job; it's who I am.
